WhatsApp launched desktop clients for Mac and Windows.The new desktop app is available for Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ and is synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device.
The desktop version of WhatsApp uses the same credentials as the innumerable mobile apps, along with the phone number-based contact directory that has made it such a popular data-only replacement for conventional text messaging.
Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device
With this, WhatsApp is now available for all major desktop and mobile platforms. To get either app, just check out WhatsApp’s download center.
